School Propaganda was fun?
So, yeah it's been a long time since I've posted. It's cause there isn't anything to write, everyday is just ordinary, my ordinary anyway. But today, there was the EV, an interview by some people from out of our school. It was to reinstate the school's autonomus state. Basicly it was school propaganda, we had to say how wonderfull the school was. I have truely no idea why i got choosen, cause I'm definitely no model student. But whatever.
So we had a briefing session on Tuesday for the interview. Basicly it was to make sure no one would say the wrong things during the interview. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of the interview, to get our real view of the school? It's like the school management knows that if they don't input propaganda answers, they'll be screwed by the real stuff. But, whatever, in the seesion they told us about the school's mission, vision, the different frameworks and all that shit. To tell the truth, nothing went into my head. What's more, Terrence was presenting. All the less reason to listen. A true waste of my time, seeing as I managed to make it through the interview fine without knowing anything. Should have gone to CCA.
So after the mass propaganda session, in which I absorbed nothing, today, we had the real interview. I would say that it was quite fun, really, the sec 4s and 5s are quite the jokers. And the interviewer was also quite lax. She was a vice princpal from some school near changi and she's had to come to commonwealth by her car these few days. Two hours up and down trip, apparently. Pityable, I'd say. So anyway, in the interview session she asked questions like "What you like about this school?", "Why did you come to this school?" and "What do you dislike about this school?" Supposedly, my answers would be "My Friends.", "My results, not the school's history, whatsoever." and "Terrence, Rafeek and Abdulah." But no, propaganda was the only answer. So instead the answers were "The school's condusive enviroment.", "The school's vast heritage." and "Nothing much, just that damaged stuff in classrooms aren't replaced or fixed." For this point, I used the old 2/5 classroom's pooped-on window planes as a fine example. Other than these, I don't really remeber the other parts of the interview, just that the sec4s and 5s made the whole thing quite funny. At the end of the whole thing, we thanked each other and left the room. The interviewer stayed to finish writing her stuff. The rest of us, right after leaving the room, immediately took off our ties. Irony.
Then we went down to the SAC to collect our bags. Then for some reason, I decided to go the school library. I don't really know why, blame my instinct. But sometimes, instinct is a bad thing. Very bad indeed. Open the library door, first thing I see, bunch of juniors at the other end, on the sofas. Oh shit. Kai Xiang turns around shouts my name, idiot. I go over to them and chat a little. Said they wanted to go to the Jurong East library. Went with them cause I had time to spare. Read the Law of Ueki manga. Si Ling asked me why I was emo-ing. I'll tell you this, I wasn't emo-ing, I was just mulling somethings over in my head. Played Tieti with them for awhile, untill they wanted to play BlackJack, betting money. Didn't want to gamble, not with them. Went back to my manga and my thoughts. The library is a good place to think things over. So, later after our "reading", in reality a gambling session, we went down to buy bubble tea. Somehow, all of a sudden, we're all buying bubble tea frequently. Kai Xiang and Wei Ping weren't there, they probably left for home. No idea what happened to the rest of the people there, I didn't know most of them there anyway. Ended up only Jie Ying, Si Ling and a green club junior, I've got no idea of his name, and me were buying. Brought our drinks and went to the interchange. Jie Ying ended up taking the East-West line MRT on her own as the other three of us were taking the North-South line. Coincidentally we all were headed to Chua Chu Kang. Don't remeber what we talked on the MRT. Oh wait, I think I do... but I don't think I should write it down here. Got off the MRT and took my bus home. Predictablly, nothing much went down at home. Just a last thought. It seems that many people from 3/1 are falling sick. We seem to be missing quite a few of our number. Get well soon people, and return to us. With that I'll end this post.
